Nana Patekar refutes Tanushree's sexual harassment allegation, says 'a lie is a lie'

Veteran actor Nana Patekar on Saturday refuted the alleged 'sexual harassment' claims made by actress Tanushree Dutta. He denied misbehaving with the actress calling her claims to be a "lie". Patekar busy shooting in Jodhpur for the upcoming movie "Housefull 4", landed in Mumbai on Saturday.

Answering to reporters at the Mumbai airport, he said: "I said this ten years ago...a lie is a lie (Dus saal pehle bol chukka hoon, ab jo jhoot hai woh jhoot hai)". The 67-year-old was surrounded by officials as he left the CST airport. Earlier, at the Jodhpur airport, the veteran actor chose not to answer any queries made by anxious reporters on the allegations and his silence on the matter. Further, when asked about addressing the media, he replied, "It will happen". In all likeliness, he might hold a press conference on October 8. Nana Patekar's lawyer has already sent a legal notice to actress Tanushree Dutta.

In a recent TV interview to Zoom, Tanushree alleged the veteran actor misbehaved with her on the sets of "Horn Ok Pleassss" a decade ago. They were shooting a special song.

The Bollywood industry seems to be divided over this matter. While some are supporting Tanushree Dutta, raising voice and concern over this grave issue of "sexual harassment"; some believe that the actress is doing all this to gain TRP and tarnish the image of veteran actor Nana Patekar, choreographer Ganesh Acharya and director Vivek Agnihotri. Actor Anu Kapoor stood by Nana, saying that why did this creep upon all of a sudden after ten long years? If the actress thinks she really has been harassed, why is she not knocking the doors of Indian legal system; rather than pleading before the media.
