Dr. Stone Season 3: New World - What fans can expect

After much anticipation, Dr. Stone anime fans can finally mark their calendars for the third season's premiere on April 6, 2023. The trailer for Dr. Stone season 3: New World has been released, giving viewers a glimpse of the exciting adventures that await the characters in an entirely new world. The previous announcement only gave a vague date of "April 2023," but Crunchyroll's latest announcement confirms the subtitled version of Dr. Stone New World will debut on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at 7:30 AM PDT.

Notably, the English dubbed version of the anime will follow closely behind and is set to premiere on April 20, 2023, at 12:30 PM PDT. In addition, the anime will also be dubbed into other languages, including German, French, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Castilian Spanish, and Italian. However, specific release dates for these dubs have yet to be announced.

The Dr. Stone anime is based on a manga series of the same name, written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Mu-jik Park, a South Korean artist who is also known for his works Suk-Ken Rock and Origin. With its unique storyline and stunning visuals, Dr. Stone has garnered a large fan base and is eagerly anticipated by many for its upcoming third season.

The last season of Dr. Stone ended on July 25, 2021, and a special episode called "Dr. Stone: Ryusui" was released on July 10, 2022. Fans are excited about the new season and what will happen next. The last season covered the Age of Exploration Arc of The Source of Petrification Saga. The special episode adapted some parts of this too.

Dr. Stone Season 3 will complete the Source of Petrification Saga, which has two arcs: the unfinished Age of Exploration Arc and the Treasure Island Arc. The show will adapt chapters 89 to 100 of Age of Exploration Arc, and 38 chapters of Treasure Island.

It is not yet known if Dr. Stone Season 3 will cover The Truth of The Petrification Saga, as it depends on the pacing. Season 3 will reportedly be split into two parts, which may give a chance to introduce the next saga. However, it may not get completed in the upcoming season. There are still many arcs left to adapt, which means that more than a few seasons will be needed to tell the whole story. In The Treasure Island Arc, Senku and his friends will go on a journey to find a hidden treasure left by Byakuya. They will meet new people, which promises an exciting new season.
