Get ready to witness the epic battle for power and validation in Season 4 of Succession, which returns to HBO on March 26, 2023. The hit family drama delves into the cutthroat world of the super-rich, where one man reigns supreme and his children will stop at nothing to claim their place at the top. But with egos as big as their bank accounts, will they succeed, or will their schemes backfire?

During an interview with Variety, Cox provided insight into Logan's perspective in the premiere, stating that Logan's despondency stems from his realization that he has failed in his relationship with his children.

“The moroseness is the fact that in a sense, he knows he’s failed in his relationship with his children,” Cox said. “He’s not a fool. He knows he’s failed.”

According to Cox (and Logan): “It’s their fault, of course! They haven’t stepped up to the plate; they haven’t stepped up to the mark,” he said. “And he knows it’s partly his fault. He understands that.”

Succession Season 4 Episode 1, titled "The Munsters," begins several months after the events in Tuscany and 48 hours before the GoJo acquisition. Logan reluctantly attends his birthday party in New York, where his children Shiv, Roman, and Kendall are conspicuously absent. Meanwhile, the three siblings are in Los Angeles proposing a new media startup to investors. They learn of Logan's attempts to purchase PGM again and decide to launch a rival bid. They meet with Nan and Naomi at the Pierces' California estate.

While Logan has dinner with his bodyguard, whom he considers his best friend, he abruptly ends the party and calls a meeting of his inner circle. Logan is furious when he learns that his children are the rival bidders and asks his staff to roast him to break the tension. Greg can touch Logan’s weak point when he asks where his children are. However, Logan's kids win him over with their last-minute pitch to Nan Pierce, buying the company at 10 billion, which Logan is forced to concede. Shiv wants to get back at Tom, while Kendall wants to get back at Logan.

After a call with Logan, in which he calls them "f*cking morons" before ending the call, Shiv reaches New York and decides to end her relationship with Tom at the apartment they no longer share due to a trial separation. They agree to end their relationship amicably and wish each other luck.

Succession Season 4 Episode 2 (overall Episode 31) titled “Rehearsal” is set to be released on April 2, 2023. Succession airs episodically on Sundays at 9 p.m. on HBO and HBO Max.
