Smite’s 10.8 Update introduces Toph and Roku from Avatar: The Last Airbender

The popular third-person multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game, Smite, is once again breaking boundaries with its creative collaborations. Known for its diverse crossovers, including partnerships with properties like Stranger Things and musical artists like Slipknot, Smite is now gearing up for its 10.8 Update. This latest update brings even more characters from the beloved Avatar: The Last Airbender series, following the successful addition of Korra a few years back.

In Update 10.8, Smite will introduce two new characters from the Avatar universe: Toph and Roku. Fans of the show will be thrilled to play as these iconic characters in the game.

Toph, renowned for her exceptional earth-bending abilities, will be available as a skin for the character Scylla. Additionally, players will have the option to choose the Fire Nation version of the Toph skin, adding an exciting twist to the gameplay. As Scylla, players can unleash powerful earth-bending attacks for both damage and crowd control.

Roku, the wise and skilled Airbender from the Fire Nation, will replace Yu Huang in the game. This new iteration of Roku will be heavily ranged and adept at utilizing his bending skills to complement Huang's magic.

The much-anticipated Smite Update 10.8 is expected to launch on schedule, potentially on August 8, although a firm date is yet to be confirmed by Hi-Rez Studios. As with previous updates, players can expect patch notes to be released in advance, with the update likely arriving on a Tuesday.

Smite enthusiasts can access the game on various platforms, including PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC. With the addition of Toph and Roku, players can look forward to an enhanced gaming experience that brings the Avatar universe to life within the world of Smite.
