Tragic Equestrian Fall Claims Life of Professional Horse Rider

Professional horse rider Georgie Campbell, married to New Zealand Olympian Jesse Campbell, tragically died following a fall at the Bicton International Horse Trials in Devon, England. Despite the immediate efforts of medical professionals at the scene, the 37-year-old could not be saved.

A professional horse rider has died from a fall when competing at an equestrian event in Britain, governing body British Eventing said.

Briton Georgie Campbell, who was married to New Zealand event rider and Tokyo Olympian Jesse Campbell, suffered a fatal accident while competing at the Bicton International Horse Trials in Devon, England, on Sunday. She was 37.

"Medical professionals attended immediately following her fall at fence 5b however, unfortunately, she could not be saved," British eventing said in a statement.
