Chennai—DMK President and Chief Minister M K Stalin marked the 100th birth anniversary of late party patriarch, M Karunanidhi, with floral tributes at his memorial. This event highlighted the conclusion of year-long centenary celebrations dedicated to the former leader.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined in the commemorations, stating, 'I pay tributes to Kalaignar Karunanidhi Ji on his 100th birth anniversary. In his long years in public life, he worked towards the development of Tamil Nadu and the Tamil people, and is widely respected for his scholarly nature.'

Later, Stalin unveiled a souvenir celebrating Karunanidhi's legacy as the 'architect of modern Tamil Nadu.' The commemorative event also featured a special photo exhibition, a short film on Karunanidhi's life, and heartfelt tributes from political figures in New Delhi, honoring the late leader's impact on federalism and democracy in India.
