Sri Lankan filmmaker Prasanna Vithanage's much-anticipated film 'Paradise' is set for a global release on June 28, according to announcements made by the makers on Saturday.

'Paradise' narrates a compelling tale of an Indian tourist couple, portrayed by Roshan Mathew and Darshana Rajendran, who visit Sri Lanka to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary, only to face unforeseen challenges that put their relationship to the test.

The film, which also features Shyam Fernando and Mahendra Perera, has gained critical acclaim, having premiered at the Busan International Film Festival 2023, where it won the prestigious Kim Jiseok Award for Best Film. Produced by Newton Cinema and presented by Madras Talkies, the film is praised for its multilingual dialogues and exceptional audio-visual elements.
