Cultural Icon Turned Politician: Pabitra Margherita Joins Narendra Modi's Cabinet

A former magazine editor and filmmaker, Assam's Rajya Sabha MP Pabitra Margherita was recently inducted as a minister in the Narendra Modi government. Assam's Rajya Sabha MP Pabitra Margherita, who first rose to prominence as a magazine editor and filmmaker, has now been inducted as a minister in the Narendra Modi government. Margherita, a well-known figure in Assam's cultural scene, entered politics by joining the BJP in 2014. He quickly gained prominence within the party, eventually being appointed as a state spokesperson. In March 2022, he was elected to the Rajya Sabha.
