Fast and Furious 9 gets Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez; What about Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham?

To many fans who have passionately waiting for ‘Fast and Furious 9’, the return of Tyrese Gibson and Michelle Rodriguez may be a tad surprise.

‘Fast and Furious 9’, the much-anticipated movie of ‘The Fast and the Furious’ franchise, has now interesting updates for the action lovers and (illegal) street racers. Fans will be glad to know their favorite actors Tyrese Gibson and Michelle Rodriguez will return for the ninth instalment of the franchise.

To many fans who have passionately been waiting for ‘Fast and Furious 9’, the return of Tyrese Gibson and Michelle Rodriguez may be a tad surprising as both the actors earlier threatened to give up the popular film franchise. In the previous year, the 40-year old all-time actress of the series took to Instagram to post that she was set to exit the franchise if her female character did not improve.

“F8 (Fast and Furious 8) is out digitally today, I hope they decided to show some love to the women of the franchise on the next one. Or I just might have to say goodbye to a loved franchise. It’s been a good ride [and] I’m grateful for the opportunity the fans [and] studio have provided over the years... One Love,” she posted over Instagram.

As far as the release of ‘Fast and Furious 9’ is concerned, it is for sure that the spinoff movie ‘Hobbs & Shaw’ will be released first, which is slated to hit the big screens in the United States on July 26, 2019. Then the action movie based on illegal street racing, heists and espionage will be released. The date may be extended to anytime in 2020. A temporary release date for the movie is now considered April 10, 2020.

On the other hand, the other big all-time stars of the series, Dwayne Johnson ‘The Rock’ and Jason Statham may not reprise their roles due to their commitment in the spinoff ‘Hobbs & Shaw’. Even Charlize Theron’s participation is also not confirmed who was seen playing the role of Cipher in ‘Fast and Furious 8’.

However, some new updates claim that ‘Hobbs & Shaw’ will be more comical than expected. The action heroes, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Jason Statham never felt earlier that they were able to hit their maximum in all the eight series. But in the upcoming ‘Hobbs & Shaw’, they are free to go crazy in action.
