Payal Kapadia, an FTII alumnus, won the Grand Prix award for her film 'All We Imagine as Light' at Cannes. Her win is a landmark, being the first Indian feature in 30 years to compete in the prestigious European festival's main competition.

Rahman himself had an eventful stint at Cannes, where he premiered 'Headhunting to Beat Boxing,' a documentary he produced. He also drew parallels with his previous successes and noted the importance of following systematic approaches to achieve global acclaim.
