On Friday, Bihar celebrated the 10th International Yoga Day with a series of high-profile events attended by the state's top officials.
Governor Rajendra V Arlekar led a yoga session at Raj Bhavan, joined by his secretariat's officials and employees. Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, along with other ministers and senior bureaucrats, marked the occasion at the Patliputra Sports complex.
'Yoga is an effective medium to concentrate the body, mind, and soul,' noted Deputy CM Sinha in a social media post, expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for promoting yoga globally. Sinha and Chaudhary emphasized yoga's importance for well-being in media interactions after the event.
The celebrations spanned the entire state, with functions organized in almost all districts, highlighting the widespread acceptance and practice of yoga in Bihar.
