Strict Measures Post Rath Yatra Mishap in Puri

Following the Rath Yatra incident in Puri where Lord Balabhadra's idol fell, strict action will be taken against those violating protocols during Bahuda Yatra. Temple administration chief Arabinda Padhee emphasized that unauthorized individuals on chariots with mobile phones are a concern, and measures are in place to prevent future mishaps.

In response to the recent Rath Yatra incident in Puri, strict actions will be enforced against those who display indiscipline during the 'Bahuda Yatra' of Lord Jagannath. This announcement follows an episode where the idol of Lord Balabhadra fell on several servitors, causing injuries.

Taking charge, Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) chief administrator Arabinda Padhee assured that measures will be implemented to prevent such occurrences. He cited unauthorized individuals climbing chariots and using mobile phones as significant concerns.

After the incident, wherein twelve servitors were injured, Padhee emphasized the need for swift corrective measures. He mentioned a dedicated committee has been formed to scrutinize the incident and ensure smooth rituals in the future.
