Shabeena Adeeb Barred from Mushaira Amid BJP Objections

Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) leader revealed on Saturday that poetess Shabeena Adeeb was barred from participating in a 'mushaira' at Nauchandi fair due to objections from BJP leaders.

Mairajuddin Ahmed, former minister and RLD general secretary, suggested a conspiracy involving an old video of Adeeb's shayari circulated to tarnish her participation.

Adeeb, citing health reasons, later agreed not to perform. BJP’s city president, Suresh Jain, stated concerns over communal harmony as the reason for their objection, emphasizing that her poems could incite tensions.
