'Bigg Boss OTT 3' is embroiled in controversy after Shiv Sena MLA Manisha Kayande approached the Mumbai police, demanding action for allegedly broadcasting inappropriate content. Kayande, Secretary and Spokesperson of Shiv Sena, and other party members met Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar on Monday and lodged a formal complaint regarding the July 18 episode.
Kayande accused the show of portraying contestants engaging in lewd behavior, undermining social values and family boundaries. JioCinema, the platform streaming 'Bigg Boss OTT 3,' countered these claims by stating the supposedly offensive clip was doctored and never broadcast. In their statement, JioCinema emphasized adherence to strict content guidelines and expressed commitment to maintaining viewer trust.
JioCinema's ongoing efforts to trace the clip's origins aim to address and penalize those responsible for its creation and distribution. Concurrently, Kayande has called for the immediate cessation of the show and has demanded stringent actions against its producers and the broadcasting company’s CEO. The Mumbai Police are investigating the episode's viral nature across social media.
