This feature-length animated 'Transformers' film delves into the origin story of Orion Pax, known as Optimus Prime, voiced by Chris Hemsworth, and D-16, known as Megatron, voiced by Brian Henry. Their trajectory from best friends to enemies on the planet Cybertron forms the film's central narrative. Notably, Keegan-Michael Key voices B-127, an early version of Bumblebee, while Scarlett Johansson lends her voice to another Transformer named Elita, reports Variety.

The animated film differentiates itself from the live-action Transformers movies by portraying the robots not as battle-ready from birth but exploring their transformative journey. It delves into the deep bond between Orion Pax and D-16, shedding light on the events that eventually led to their epic confrontation. Josh Cooley is at the helm as the film's director.
