Rohit Shetty's Thrilling Return to 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' Season 14

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty returns to host the 14th season of 'Khatron Ke Khiladi'. Shetty draws parallels between hosting the reality stunt show and making a feature film, citing unique challenges and rigorous schedules. The new season, premiering on Colors TV, features 12 contestants taking on various stunts.

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty believes hosting 'Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi' is akin to making a feature film, given the unique challenges it presents. Shetty is back for the 14th season of the Colors TV show which will showcase 12 contestants.

'It's a stunt-based show, exclusive to Colors, unlike the many dance or singing competitions on other channels, making it special,' he said. 'It's a tough show; it's not just a weekly studio shoot. We film continuously for about 45 to 50 days, like a film.'

Every season, contestants execute 60 to 80 stunts over one to two months. 'The audience doesn't realize this,' Shetty explained. 'In two days, you are showing them six to seven stunts across three months. There are unforeseen challenges like weather conditions that affect the team.'

Shetty took on hosting duties from season five, succeeding Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. He admitted initial anxiety about audience acceptance but now feels grateful for their support. Known for high-octane action in his films, Shetty asserts that no stunt is a 'cakewalk' and requires alertness and technique.

'Khatron Ke Khiladi' season 14 airs on Colors TV on Saturday. This season's contestant lineup includes Sumona Chakravarti, Shilpa Shinde, Asim Riaz, Krishna Shroff, Shalin Bhanot, Abhishek Kumar, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Karan Veer Mehra, Kedar Aashish Mehrotraa, Aditi Sharma, Gashmeer Mahajani, and Niyati Fatnani.
