At the Hyundai FDCI India Couture Week 2024, she shared her aspiration to wear her mother's saree on her wedding day, underlining a shift towards minimalist bridal fashion.

Sonakshi and Zaheer Iqbal tied the knot in a low-key ceremony on June 23, choosing their outfits within five minutes. The actress wore her mother Poonam Sinha's saree and jewellery, while Zaheer donned an embroidered kurta-pyjama. For the reception, Sonakshi chose a red Banarasi saree, maintaining her theme of simplicity.
