Call to Bring Back Netaji’s Mortal Remains from Japan

Chandra Kumar Bose, grandnephew of Subhas Chandra Bose, has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to repatriate Netaji's remains from Japan's Renkoji temple by August 18. He stressed the need for an official statement to deter falsehoods about Netaji's death in a 1945 plane crash and honor his legacy.

Chandra Kumar Bose, grandnephew of the legendary freedom fighter Subhas Chandra Bose, on Sunday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to repatriate Netaji's mortal remains from Japan's Renkoji by August 18.

Bose urged the central government to issue a definitive statement on the matter to put an end to “false narratives” surrounding Netaji's death.

He highlighted the NDA government's efforts to declassify files related to Netaji, revealing that Netaji perished in a plane crash on August 18, 1945, in Taiwan. This declassification has exposed secret files and documents, conclusively establishing Netaji's demise in the crash.
