Celebrated designer J J Valaya unveiled his latest collection 'Muraqqa' at the Hyundai FDCI India Couture Week, drawing inspiration from Istanbul, Isfahan, and Delhi. Valaya emphasizes preserving historical beauty and presenting it anew. The collection features luxurious silk and velvet, with colors ranging from green to maroon.

Celebrated designer J J Valaya unveiled his latest collection 'Muraqqa' at the Hyundai FDCI India Couture Week. The collection draws inspiration from Istanbul, Isfahan, and Delhi, emphasizing the preservation of historical beauty in a modern context. 'I think it's my duty to go back in time to find all the beauty and bring it forward,' Valaya stated.

The collection, characterized by luxury and opulence, showcased custom woven silks and lush velvets. The color palette ranged from green, beige, and brown to maroon, with touches of golden and black. Men's attire included evening jackets, sherwanis, and bandhgala jackets, while women's wear featured lehengas, sarees, anarkalis, and suits.

'Fashion is style that endures the test of time,' said Valaya. The 'Muraqqa' collection blends Ottoman intricacies, Persian carpet motifs, and Mughal inlays, creating a harmonious fusion of past and present. The designer emphasized the importance of research and detailed the extensive process from idea conception to final design.
