In a Facebook post, Rahul Gandhi expressed deep pain over the scenes of tragedy they witnessed. He assured close monitoring of relief actions and the commitment of the UDF to provide necessary assistance.
The Gandhis also visited Dr Moopen's Medical College and the Community Health Centre in Meppadi to meet grieving families and assess the situation. The visit underscored the urgent need for a comprehensive action plan to address repeated natural calamities.
