Yusuf Dikec, a Turkish pistol shooter, has become an internet sensation for his laid-back demeanor during the 2024 Olympics, where he secured a silver medal in mixed team 10-meter air pistol shooting.

Capturing the online world’s attention, images of Dikec casually shooting in a T-shirt, with one hand in his pocket and an impassive expression, have likened him to a 'regular guy' or even a hitman. This is his fifth Olympic appearance since 2008.

Dikec and teammate Sevval Ilayda Tarhan's win marked Turkey's first-ever medal in Olympic shooting. Despite the relaxed appearance, Dikec wore yellow earplugs to block distractions, a detail that was not visible in the viral images. Dikec is looking forward to competing in the next Games in 2028.
