In a heartfelt tribute, the festival honored the late Bharat Singh Manhas, Secretary of the J&K Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages, whose recent passing was mourned by many. The event featured outstanding performances that mesmerized viewers and marked the beginning of a week-long celebration of Kashmiri folk theatre and its rich cultural heritage.
Festival director Rohit Bhat emphasized the importance of theatre in preserving Kashmir's long-standing customs and traditions.
