UP to Celebrate Centenary of Kakori Train Action with Year-Long Activities

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has revealed plans to commemorate the centenary of the historic Kakori train action with year-long activities across the state. Various events will run from August 9, with the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign scheduled from August 13 to 15.
In a high-level meeting, Adityanath emphasized the significance of the Kakori train action in India’s freedom movement. He directed officials to honor the families of martyrs and freedom fighters and engage school children, teenagers, and youth in the programs.
Additionally, educational booklets will be prepared, and competitions like quizzes, painting, calligraphy, and essays will be organized. The Tourism and Culture Department will lead the initiative, incorporating public representatives and volunteers to ensure widespread participation.
