Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences on Sunday following the death of esteemed Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi dancer, Yamini Krishnamurti.
Krishnamurti passed away at the age of 84 at Apollo Hospital, where she had been in the ICU for the past seven months due to age-related ailments.
In a heartfelt post on X, Modi highlighted her contributions, stating, "Her excellence in Indian classical dance has inspired generations and enriched our cultural heritage." He extended his sympathy to her family and admirers, concluding with, "Om Shanti."
