John Cena, the 16-time WWE Champion and Hollywood actor, visited India in July 2024 to attend Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding ceremony. Despite a short stay in Mumbai, Cena made the most of his visit by immersing himself in Indian culture, particularly enjoying desi cuisine. Cena, speaking to ANI via a Zoom call, humorously noted the need to improve his tolerance for spicy food.

'The Ambani wedding featured a remarkable array of cuisines, including expertly prepared Indian and street food. The dishes were fantastic, and although my stay was brief, I'd love to return and explore more of India's culinary offerings. The spice level was perfect—just enough to break a small sweat. I can't wait to test my spice tolerance further when I come back,' Cena quipped. At the wedding, Cena adopted a full desi look, wearing a powder blue sherwani and a traditional white and gold safa.

On the red carpet, Cena struck his signature 'you can't see me' pose, adding a touch of his wrestling persona to the glamorous event. On the professional front, Cena is set to star in Prime Video's upcoming film 'Jackpot!' alongside Awkwafina. Set in Los Angeles in 2030, the film centers around Katie (Awkwafina), a struggling actress who wins the lottery and must survive until sundown to claim her prize, aided by Cena's amateur lottery protection agent character. Reflecting on his collaboration with Awkwafina, Cena shared, 'Awkwafina is amazing, and her comedy style is outstanding. She creates an incredible environment on set, making her a fantastic co-star.'

'Jackpot!' will premiere on Prime Video on August 15.
