Former Union minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Monday celebrated the enduring legacy of socialist leader Janeshwar Mishra, asserting that leaders are born out of dedication and conviction, not entitlement.

Speaking at a seminar organized to mark Mishra's 92nd birth anniversary, Naqvi emphasized that influential leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi, Ram Manohar Lohia, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, B R Ambedkar, and Mishra himself were 'institutes for producing leadership'.

Naqvi stressed that in democracy, mass leaders are shaped in the public sphere, not in privileged settings, and highlighted the need for capable leadership amid global turmoil.
