Actress Blake Lively has given fans a touching insight into her early romance with husband Ryan Reynolds, revealing a weekly tradition that played a significant role in their courtship. Speaking to People magazine about her upcoming role as Lily Bloom in 'It Ends With Us', Lively reflected on the heartwarming ritual.

"When my husband and I first got together, he would send me a bouquet of flowers every week," Lively shared. "Each bouquet came with a card containing just a sentence about something meaningful or funny that happened that week," she said.

The 36-year-old actress described the tradition as a simple yet deeply romantic gesture. "It's such a beautiful, romantic thing," Lively emphasized, adding humorously, "Now we have 4,000 children!"

Lively and Reynolds, who married in 2012 after meeting on the set of 'Green Lantern' in 2011, now share four children. Despite their hectic schedules, Lively fondly remembers this cherished tradition that marked their early relationship.

Similarly, Lively's 'It Ends With Us' co-star Jenny Slate recounted a recent romantic gesture from her husband, Ben Shattuck. As Slate told People magazine, Shattuck surprised her with an abundance of hydrangeas, describing them as "clouds of hydrangeas" brought indoors solely for their beauty.

Both Lively and Slate expressed gratitude for the meaningful connections formed while working on 'It Ends With Us'. Directed by co-star Justin Baldoni, the film delves into themes of love and friendship, resonating strongly with its cast.

"My friends have consistently been my actual heroes," Slate shared, underscoring the significance of stable relationships in tough times. "I'm so happy that aspect of the film has resonated, as I think it's a driving force of the project," she said.

For Lively, filming with Slate fostered a genuine friendship. "Working closely with Jenny on this film allowed us to build a real bond, similar to our characters,'" Lively added. Slate echoed this sentiment, expressing gratitude for their on-screen and off-screen connection. "I lucked out," she said.
