Comcast, a subsidiary of Universal Studios, has announced plans to launch a Global Capability Centre in Hyderabad. This new facility will focus on innovative product development and solutions in unified communications, significantly enhancing the company's managed solutions and connectivity portfolio.

Telangana IT Minister D Sridhar Babu's office released a statement noting that Comcast's presence will strategically position the city to attract its parent company, Universal Studios. This move is expected to elevate Tollywood's global standing, capitalising on its current status as the world's most prolific film industry by annual output.

Sridhar Babu, who is currently touring the USA with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, met with Comcast's senior leadership team, including Executive Vice President Mel Penna, Chief Technology Officer Rick Riobolli, and Chief Information Officer Mike Crisafulli. 'The establishment of Comcast's Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad will mark a transformative milestone for our city, as well as the telecom and media industries. This collaboration underlines our commitment to fostering technological advancements and global partnerships, positioning our city as a premier hub in the global tech landscape,' Babu stated.
