Mercedes-Benz India Eyes Double-Digit Growth Amid Surge in Luxury Car Demand
Mercedes-Benz India is optimistic about achieving double-digit growth this year, driven by strong demand for its luxury and electric vehicle portfolio. The company recently launched two new high-end models and plans to introduce more by the festive season. Sales increased by 9% in the first half of 2024.
German luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz is confident of achieving double-digit growth this year, citing robust demand, especially during the upcoming festive season. Speaking with PTI at a recent car launch, Mercedes-Benz India Managing Director Santosh Iyer highlighted the brand's promising electric vehicle portfolio.
The company introduced two new top-end models, the Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupé and CLE 300 Cabriolet AMG Line, priced at Rs 1.105 crore and Rs 1.10 crore, respectively. These launches aim to strengthen the company's high-end product range further.
Mercedes-Benz India saw a 9% growth in the first half of 2024 and is aiming for a double-digit growth rate for the full year, marking it as potentially the firm's best year yet. The electric vehicle segment grew by 60% in H1 2024, underscoring the escalating demand for battery-operated luxury vehicles.
The new Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV is set to launch in India on September 5. With a strong start in August and favorable lead inquiries for the festive season, Mercedes-Benz is optimistic about maintaining its market dominance.
