Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu extended greetings to the tribal community on World Tribal Day and outlined a comprehensive plan for their development, focusing on education, health, and income enhancement.
Speaking at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram, Naidu highlighted the government's commitment to raise the per capita income of tribal people, which currently stands at Rs 1.25 lakh per annum. He assured the promotion of tribal products through the Centre's Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) platform, enabling direct sales to urban consumers.
The Chief Minister announced a budget of Rs 2,373 crore to improve tap water supply and road connectivity in tribal areas, alongside initiatives to boost healthcare infrastructure. Additionally, Naidu committed to reducing Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) and Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) within tribal communities.
