Tragic Devotee Journey: SUV Swept Away in Uttarakhand Floods
Two people lost their lives, five were injured, and a child went missing after an SUV carrying devotees to Purnagiri Dham temple in Uttarakhand was swept away by a flooded stream. Authorities are currently searching for the missing child and treating the injured in a nearby hospital.

In a tragic incident on Friday, an SUV transporting devotees to Purnagiri Dham temple in Uttarakhand was swept away by a stream swollen from heavy rains, resulting in two deaths, five injuries, and one missing child.
District Magistrate Navneet Pande confirmed from the spot that the accident occurred in the spate-ridden Kirauda stream. The deceased were identified as Balwinder Kaur (14) and Sona Kaur (24).
The injured, including five-year-old Seema and sisters Pawandeep and Amandeep Kaur, are receiving medical treatment, while rescue teams scavenge the flooded stream for the nine-year-old missing, Mangal Singh. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed his grief and directed immediate aid for the victims.
