Veteran Marathi actor Vijay Kadam passed away on Saturday morning, confirmed Jaywant Wadkar, a close friend and fellow actor.
In a conversation with ANI, Wadkar shared that Kadam died at his Mumbai home at the age of 68 after a courageous battle with cancer. Despite initially recovering, his health deteriorated, and he suffered an acidity attack around 25 days ago.
Wadkar fondly remembered Kadam as a versatile and talented artiste. "He explored diverse projects in both Marathi and Hindi films over his decades-long career. It's impossible to find an actor like him again; his death has left a void in the industry. He was like family to me," Wadkar added.
Kadam's cremation is scheduled for this afternoon at Andheri-Oshiwara crematorium.
