Giffi Ltd and Toonz Media Group to Bring Ruskin Bond’s 'Rusty' to Life in Animation

London-based toy manufacturer Giffi Ltd has struck an agreement with India's Toonz Media Group to co-produce and co-distribute an animated series based on Ruskin Bond's children's stories, centered around the character 'Rusty'.

The 'Adventures of Rusty' series aims to bring the orphaned Anglo-Indian boy's tales to life, positioning the adaptation as a global brand. Alongside the animation, merchandising of consumer products tied to the series is planned to build momentum.

Giffi Ltd's CEO, Prabit Nair, expressed pride in being part of Bond's legacy. Bond himself, delighted by the project, hopes the adaptation captures his storytelling essence and reaches new audiences.
