President Honours Railway Protection Personnel Ahead of Independence Day

President Droupadi Murmu has awarded the President's Medal for Distinguished Service and the Medal for Meritorious Service to 16 Railway Protection Force and Railway Protection Special Force personnel. The awarded individuals include GM Eswara Rao and various other officials from different railway zones across India.

President Droupadi Murmu bestowed the President's Medal for Distinguished Service and the Medal for Meritorious Service to 16 railway personnel on Wednesday, in a ceremony ahead of Independence Day.

According to a statement, GM Eswara Rao, Principal Chief Security Commissioner of Southern Railway, has been honored with the President's Medal for Distinguished Service. Meanwhile, fifteen other officials received the Police Medal for Meritorious Service.

The honorees include Amaresh Kumar, Principal Chief Security Commissioner, Ujjal Das, Assistant Security Commissioner, and Abhay Kumar, Sub-Inspector, from the East Central Railway. Santosh Kumar Sharma, Inspector, and Ajay Kumar, Sub-Inspector, from the RPSF, are also among the recipients. Awards were also given to personnel from the East Coast, Central, Western, North Eastern, and South Central Railway Zones.
