Pakistan's chargé d'affaires in India, Saad Ahmad Warraich, asserted on Wednesday that the goal of 'durable peace and stability' in South Asia is dependent on the peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute.
The statement came during the 77th anniversary of Pakistan's Independence Day, celebrated at its High Commission in New Delhi. Warraich also praised Pakistani athlete Arshad Nadeem for his historic gold medal win at the Paris Olympics.
Warraich urged Pakistani youth to adopt principles of commitment, dedication, and hard work, and highlighted Pakistan's foundational values of democracy, social equality, and tolerance. The event concluded with flag-hoisting, speeches, cultural performances, and the cutting of a special cake.
