Rekha to Perform at IIFA 2024

Veteran actor Rekha will perform at the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) 2024, to be held in Abu Dhabi from September 27 to 29. The event will be hosted by Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar, celebrating both Bollywood and South Indian cinema, in partnership with Abu Dhabi's Department of Culture and Tourism.

Veteran actor Rekha will be performing at the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) 2024, set to take place next month in Abu Dhabi.

The three-day awards extravaganza, scheduled from September 27 to 29, returns to Yas Island Abu Dhabi for its third edition. This year's event will be hosted by superstar Shah Rukh Khan and filmmaker Karan Johar. Rekha, who also performed at the IIFA Awards in 2018, expressed excitement about contributing to the festival's legacy.

"IIFA holds a special place in my heart, representing not just a celebration of Indian cinema but a vibrant fusion of art, culture, and love on a global stage," Rekha said. "It feels like home – a beautiful showcase where the magic of Indian cinema truly comes alive."

The 69-year-old actor added that she looks forward to creating more cherished memories with her fans at the IIFA Awards. This year's edition is notably bringing together the Hindi and South film industries—Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada—aiming to celebrate the diversity of Indian cinema.

The event will conclude with the exclusive, invitation-only IIFA Rocks, held in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, and Miral, a leading creator of immersive destinations and experiences in the city.
