Tragic Loss as Poonam Azad Passes Away

Poonam Azad, wife of Trinamool Congress leader Kirti Azad, passed away on Monday. Condolences poured in from leaders including West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi. Poonam had been critically ill for several years. Kirti and family had been by her side until her passing.

Poonam Azad, wife of Trinamool Congress leader Kirti Azad, passed away on Monday, as confirmed by the Lok Sabha MP.

''My wife, Poonam no more. Left for her heavenly aboard at 12.40 pm. Thank you all for your good wishes,'' Azad announced in a heartfelt post on social media platform X.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed her condolences, stating, ''Saddened to know that Poonam Jha Azad, wife of our MP & World Cup-winner cricketer Kirti Azad, has breathed her last. I have known Poonam for a long time,'' Banerjee said.

She added that Poonam had been critically ill for several years and praised the family for their unwavering support. AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi also offered his condolences, hoping for strength and patience for the grieving family.
