Union Home Minister Amit Shah celebrated Hindi Diwas on Saturday, stressing that Hindi and other Indian languages are not in competition but are complementary allies.
Marking the 75th anniversary of Hindi being accepted as the official language by the Constituent Assembly, Shah emphasized the spirit of unity among all Indian tongues. He remarked, 'By strengthening Hindi, all these languages will also become flexible and prosperous.'
Shah acknowledged the significant efforts under Prime Minister Narendra Modi to promote Hindi and local languages. He highlighted the 'Kanthasth' tool and a new portal for translation, aiming to bolster all languages listed in the Eighth Schedule. Shah urged citizens to support these initiatives, reinforcing the cultural and historical tapestry of India.
