Dr. V Venu Named Chairperson of Kochi Biennale Foundation
Dr. V Venu, former Chief Secretary to the Kerala government, has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Kochi Biennale Foundation. Venu, who has been involved with the Kochi-Muziris Biennale since its inception, joins on a pro bono, honorary basis.

Dr. V Venu, the former Chief Secretary to the Kerala government, has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Kochi Biennale Foundation (KBF). The announcement was made by Kochi Biennale Foundation Trustee and President, Bose Krishnamachari.
Venu's involvement with the Kochi-Muziris Biennale dates back to its first edition, during which he played a crucial role in establishing a partnership between the Foundation and the Kerala government. His appointment, which is on a pro bono and honorary basis, has officially been in effect since the 21st of this month.
Celebrated as India’s premier contemporary art festival, the Kochi-Muziris Biennale hosts artists from around the globe and drew over nine lakh visitors in its last edition in 2023. The festival spans across 4.5 square kilometers in Fort Kochi and Mattancherry.
