At the 70th National Film Awards ceremony held in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, producer Abhishek Agarwal was honored with the National Award for Best Telugu Film for his work on 'Karthikeya 2'. The accolade was presented by President Droupadi Murmu, celebrating the film's exceptional storytelling and visual effects.
In an interview with ANI, Agarwal expressed immense joy, stating that receiving such a prestigious award from the Government of India is a significant achievement. He acknowledged the audience's role in the film's success, crediting public support for the honor.
Agarwal dedicated the award to Lord Krishna, reminiscent of the people's association with 'The Kashmir Files'. As for future endeavors, he teased updates on a project titled 'Delhi Files', promising exciting developments in the near future.
'Karthikeya 2' has been commended for its simple yet powerful narrative centered on mythological themes, marking a milestone for actor Nikhil Siddhartha in the Telugu film industry. Other notable winners include Aattam for Best Feature Film and Sooraj Barjatya for Best Director with 'Uunchai'.
