Jane The Virgin Season 5 to have 17-22 episodes, Is Michael resurrected?

'Jane The Virgin' Season 5 finally gets a release date after a long hiatus. The last episode of Season 4 was aired on April 20, 2018 and since then fans of American satirical romantic comedy-drama series have been waiting to know the premiere date of the next season.

Although 'Jane The Virgin' Season 5 has got the premiere date, fans will surely be disappointed to know that the upcoming season is going to be the last of The CW series. The series will start airing from March 27, 2019 (Wednesday night). The new night for the finale has been moved out of its Friday line-up and got a prime slot after new episodes of 'Riverdale'. Even all the previous seasons had October release date. Meanwhile, we still don't know how many episodes there will be for the finale but it's likely to be between 17 and 22 based on the previous seasons.

As far as the plot of 'Jane The Virgin' Season 5 is concerned, fans expect the series to start from the cliffhanger from where it ended in Season 4. Raphael was seen bringing Jane back to the apartment to disclose somewhere who resembled Michael. We still don't know if Jane's husband is alive, hence there are three possibilities – the new one is a twin, or he is back from dead, or someone is hoaxing everyone by wearing a Michael mask.

The story seems to make another turn for Michael, Raphael and Jane love triangle. Raphael seems to be Jane's only choice as she was almost prepared for him to give her the love proposal. In a conversation with Hollywood Reporter last year, Jennie Snyder Urman was questioned if Jane would make a choice between the men in the upcoming season, but she talked about a wedding without giving a direct answer. "There will be — How can I answer that? There will be a wedding," she answered.

The upcoming 'Jane The Virgin' Season 5 is also likely to reveal one of the series biggest secrets – why Michael was gone for several years – and one theory suggests that his absence is linked to his work as a detective. If the prediction matches the plot, then we must say he had intentionally organized his fake death.
