Every Tuesday and Thursday evening, an eclectic group of professionals gather at St George's Park, Gqeberha, to preserve a unique musical legacy. This brass band, integral to the cricket ground's charm since 1994, enlivens the iconic venue with calypso, jazz, and orchestral music.

The band, recognizable by their matching colors, consists of around 20 dedicated members who occupy the wooden seats of the old stand. Their performances, filled with trumpets, trombones, drums, and a massive tuba, are a central part of the joyful atmosphere enjoyed by families and children gathered around the ground.

Founded with the vision of creating an engaging vibe, the band's spirit complements Gqeberha's rich cultural heritage. Band member Earl Smith highlights the group's evolution, rallying its members to practice sessions twice a week, bringing joy to fans and fostering a deeper engagement with cricket.
