Das was admitted to the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences' neurology ward earlier this month. According to hospital sources, he was in critical condition in the High Dependency Unit. His demise marks a significant loss to the spiritual world.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed their condolences. Modi praised Das's life-long dedication to Lord Ram, while Adityanath highlighted his irreplaceable contributions to spirituality.
