Assam Police have summoned notable YouTubers Ashish Chanchlani, Ranveer Allahbadia, and others following allegations of promoting obscenity on a YouTube show. The case, initiated by a complaint lodged at the Guwahati Crime Branch on February 10, accuses them of engaging in explicit content.

The complaint, filed by Guwahati resident Alok Boruah, claims the YouTube show 'India's Got Latent' featured vulgar discussions, compromising public decency and morality. A senior police official revealed that a team has been dispatched to Mumbai for further investigation.

The case involves multiple legal sections, including Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, IT Act, 2000, and others. Comedian Samay Raina, also accused, expressed his willingness to cooperate, having already removed relevant videos. Ranveer Allahbadia apologized for what he termed a 'lapse in judgment.'
