Ed Sheeran Lights Up Shillong: A Night to Remember

Nearly 30,000 fans attended Ed Sheeran's concert in Shillong, part of his 'Mathematics Tour' in India. On Wednesday night, the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium in Shillong was filled with almost 30,000 enthusiastic fans who gathered to witness British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran perform live as part of his 'The Mathematics Tour' in India.

Sheeran, expressing his excitement, greeted the crowd while wearing a T-shirt featuring Shillong. He opened the concert with his hit 'Castle on the Hill', sparking immediate energy as the audience sang along. Before performing 'A Team', Sheeran recalled that he wrote it at 18, believing it would change his career, and expressed amazement at performing in front of such a massive crowd 15 years later.

The artist's hallmark of not using pre-recorded tracks was prominent as he created live sounds during his performance, making every concert unique. Meghalaya's Chief Minister took to X to highlight Shillong's emerging reputation as a major concert hub, aligning with PM Modi's vision of boosting India's concert economy.
