Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday outlined ambitious plans to elevate the state's tourism sector. With a target of achieving a 20% growth by the 2025-26 fiscal year, Naidu emphasized the importance of integrating cultural programs and infrastructure developments.

During a thorough review of the Tourism Department at the Secretariat in Amaravati, the Chief Minister expressed a vision for Andhra Pradesh to become a preferred and hospitable destination for tourists. Essential strategies discussed included hosting tourism events, increasing hotel constructions, fostering new investments, and revising land lease policies.

In light of these initiatives, officials reported significant progress in securing investments worth Rs 1,217 crore within just six months. Additionally, they are rejuvenating 11 resorts and bringing forward several development projects under Central government schemes.
