Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh has publicly criticized the dismissal of Giani Harpreet Singh from his role as Jathedar of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC).
The decision, made on December 10, followed allegations of a domestic dispute, with Raghbir Singh describing the dismissal process as both condemnable and detrimental to the autonomy of Takht Sahibs.
Despite media scrutiny and an 18-year-old allegation resurfacing, Singh asserts the Akal Takht alone should handle such matters, condemning the SGPC's actions as inappropriate.
