Shinde highlighted the pressing need for large-scale tree plantations in response to environmental issues such as non-seasonal rains and droughts. He also advocated for organic farming to reduce reliance on harmful fertilizers, citing associated health risks. Encouraging citizens to adopt organic practices, he pointed to Thane Municipal Corporation's significant tree-planting achievements and future plans.

The Deputy CM's vision for a 'green city' aims to transform Thane into an environmentally conscious model. Shinde announced plans for an R&D center to explore diverse tree production, reinforcing his commitment to fostering sustainable practices.
