In a landmark ceremony in Cebu, Philippines, Indian Ambassador Harsh Kumar Jain unveiled a statue of celebrated Tamil poet and philosopher Thiruvalluvar. The event took place at the Gullas College of Medicine on Saturday, according to an official statement released on Monday.

The ceremony was part of a broader celebration commemorating 75 years of diplomatic relations between India and the Philippines. Highlights included cultural performances and speeches by dignitaries, notably attended by Philippines' former president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.

The Gullas College of Medicine, under the direction of Chief Executive Adviser Dr. David Pillai, organized the event, which also featured the Indo-Philippine Cultural and Educational Exchange Summit.
