A recent incident of vandalism emerged following the release of the Vicky Kaushal starrer, 'Chhava,' a film depicting Maratha warrior king Chhatrapati Sambhaji. Signboards on Akbar Road and Humayun Road were defaced with black paint and posters of Chhatrapati Shivaji, according to police sources.

Videos circulating on social media show youth engaged in the act, which came after they watched the period film on Sambhaji, son of Shivaji and the second ruler of the Maratha Empire. Authorities moved quickly to clean the defaced boards and have launched an investigation.

CCTV footage is being analyzed to identify those involved, and police are actively monitoring the situation to prevent further incidents and ensure public order is maintained.
